News from The Puerto Rico Cloud Computing ( and Green Computing ) User Group (PRCCUG)

Cloud computing is a rapidly evolving area of IT.  The ability to work with multiple cloud vendors, including your own IT, without getting locked in to one single vendor is critical at this point.

Whether you want to implement a private cloud or work with one of the many public cloud vendors you want to make sure you can move your workloads according to what is best for your company or government agency.

Date: Tuesday, September 17, 2013
Theme: IBM Security: Protecting Your Cloud

IT executives describe security as a prime inhibitor to broad-scale cloud adoption. This presentation takes a look at the top cloud security needs and describes the IBM Security Systems products that directly address those needs. If coming into this session, you have cloud security issues that have thus far gone unaddressed, Mike's goal is that you walk away with a useful course of action to begin addressing your cloud security needs.

Speaker:

Mike Campbell, IBM Security Systems WW Sales Specialist

Mike has been with IBM since 1974. He has been a consultant and a product manager. For the past 17 years, he has been focused on helping customers, IBM sellers and Business Partner sellers understand and adopt IBM security solutions.

Mike graduated with honors from Villanova University as a mathematics major. He works out of his home office in the Hudson Valley in upstate New York (home of the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival) and in his spare time, he plays golf and is a webmaster for his local town and village of Saugerties, New York . . . once voted one of the top 10 coolest small towns in America.
