Cyber Security is one of the hottest IT issues, worldwide... Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (PUPR)'s "Center of Information Assurance for Research and Education (CIARE)" will be hosting the first “CyberSecurity 2013: Cloud and Social Networking Conference” at the campus amphitheater on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. CIARE provides a forum that can be used by faculty, students, and professionals from the public and private sectors. The Center is a vehicle for: training, research, invention, innovation, education, public awareness, entrepreneurship, economic development, and dissemination of best practices. Persons working in government and private enterprises are invited to participate in this activity, that will bring together some of the most talented security professionals in Puerto Rico to talk about some of the most important current security issues in IT. Faculty, students, and Information Assurance (IA) professionals can exchange their knowledge and experiences in the area of Cyber Security. As a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE/IAE) designated by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security (NSA/DHS) in June, 2009, PUPR is proud to be the first and only CAE/IAE in Puerto Rico. |
