Next Tuesday, 23 August, we will have our August meeting. The theme will be "Extracting Economic Value from the Cloud". The presentation will be made by representatives from CA Technologies. This presentation is part of the series of presentations of vendors where we have had Microsoft, IBM, and HP make presentations. It is part of my desire to present Cloud solutions to our audience. One of the speakers will be coming from Brazil, so we should have an international perspective on Cloud implementations. I hope you can attend. Register, HERE. In our next edition, I'll talk about the upcoming PRCCUG 1st International and Caribbean Cloud Expo to be held in San Juan in the fall of 2012. Stay tuned! As I indicated above, PRCCUG is having a presentation on the economic value of the Cloud. Apart from the educational part of the presentation, we will also have a demonstration of Cloud products from CA Technologies. We should get an idea of what Cloud products they offer and whether those products are something you could use if and when you implement your own Cloud in your enterprise or government agency. |
