From The Editor

Hola! Happy New Year 2011!! As we enter this new year, I wish all of you, Health and Happiness for you and your loved ones.

I will continue to use Info-Governance to publish the activities of the professional organizations in Puerto Rico. I hope this eNewsletter is useful in you networking efforts and in your professional growth. If you have any suggestions for improving this eNewsletter, please let me know.

You will notice that there are not many activities this month because many associations are starting their 2011 planning sessions with new Boards of Directors. In February, those associations will return to their monthly activity schedules.

As always, please send suggestions and comments to jrobles@coqui.net or visit www.johnrrobles.com. If you no longer wish to receive the Info-Governance newsletter, unsubscribe.

ENJOY!

Professional Associations

An important part of this newsletter is the identification of professional associations that provide training and seminars to information technology, governance, security, and other professionals in Puerto Rico. We will publish all activities and seminars of these associations so that each professional can select which seminar or training to attend for their own professional growth, as well as, the accumulation of Continuing Professional Credits for their certification requirements.

News from The Puerto Rico Cloud Computing (and Green Computing) User Group (PRCCUG)

The Puerto Rico Cloud (and Green Computing) User Group (PRCCUG) will be having its 3rd vendor presentation during the first couple of weeks of February. The activity will be held at the Microsoft facilities. I'll be publishing details when I receive them. In this series of presentations, vendors will present and discuss their Cloud Computing services. The purpose of this presentation series is to present to our audience the technologies, features, and benefits of this relatively new technology. In future presentations, we will have Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, and other vendors presenting and discussing their products.

PRCCUG has as our audience, interested persons in government, as well as, private enterprises. We hope to have stimulating discussions and presentations of Cloud Computing and Green Computing in Puerto Rico.

If you are interested in being part of this new group (PRCCUG), please contact me. Access and browse our library of Cloud Computing information here.
