Read the November 2010 issue of "Tone-at-the-Top",  here, a monthly periodical, issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors for Senior Management, Board of Directors and Audit Committees. It provides nuggets of information concerning risk, internal control, governance, ethics, and the changing role of internal auditing. An important part of this newsletter is the identification of professional associations that provide training and seminars to information technology, governance, security, and other professionals in Puerto Rico. We will publish all activities and seminars of these associations so that each professional can select which seminar or training to attend for their own professional growth, as well as, the accumulation of Continuing Professional Credits for their certification requirements.

The Puerto Rico Cloud (and Green Computing) User Group (PRCCUG) is having its 2nd vendor presentation on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. HP Puerto Rico will be presenting their Cloud Computing initiatives. In this series of presentations, vendors will present and discuss their Cloud Computing services. The purpose of this presentation series is to present to our audience the technologies, features, and benefits of this relatively new technology. In future presentations, we will have Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, and other vendors presenting and discussing their products.

PRCCUG has as our audience, interested persons in government, as well as, private enterprises. We hope to have stimulating discussions and presentations of Cloud Computing and Green Computing in Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rico chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is a professional organization dedicated to fighting fraud and white-collar crime. Internationally, the association has over 25,000-members.

The Puerto Rico Chapter holds a monthly meeting the last Tuesday of the month except in July and December. The monthly meeting is held at the Cafeteria Ambiental, Edificion de Agencias Ambientales (DRNA, JCA) Cruz a Matos, Urbanizacion San Jose Industrial Park. More information.

ISOCPR is the Puerto Rico Chapter of the Internet Society. It serves professionals interested in the use, evolution and open development of the Internet for the benefit of all people in Puerto Rico and throughout the World. Created in the United States in 1992, the Internet Society is a non-profit entity dedicated to safeguarding the best interests of the Internet as well as stimulate its use throughout the globe.   More information.

PMIPR is the Puerto Rico chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). It was founded in 1998 and currently has over 300 members. It serves professionals that work or are interested in Project Management.   More information.
